Biography
Rongshi Li is a Professor of Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry, UNMC Center for Drug Discovery, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy; Cancer Genes and Molecular Regulation Program, Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center; and Center for Staphylococcal Research, University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Li spent 14 years in industry advanced from Scientist to Senior Vice President after postdoctoral training at University of California San Francisco. Dr. Li began his academic career in 2008 at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Tampa, Florida. In 2013, he was recruited to University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Li received 2013 Grants Award, 2014 and 2016 New Inventions, and 2016 Distinguished Scientist Award. Dr. Li has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, invited reviews, US and PCT patents, edited books, book chapters, and editorial. He delivered over 100 lectures and presentations in the universities and research institutions throughout the world, and in national and international symposia as invited and keynote speakers.
